When I go to a craft store for beads it can be difficult to stay focused. Sometimes I have a specific color in mind, but mostly I am just looking through the strands hoping to be inspired. I try to get interesting shapes and I love glass beads with a swirl of different colors.

This one has that bit of gold in the green. I found the exact gold bead that I wanted.

Sometimes I will find a bead that I like, so I buy it but then have no clue what to do with it. This green bead is one of those. When I found the feathers I figured out what was meant to be.

This one had been called by different people gothic and tribal. I just think it's cool.

I will add that though I think of it as a feather it might be a leaf. Either way the ends are just a little bit sharp.

Speaking of loving beads with multiple colors it was fun to match that light green. I am always trying different combinations for my designs. This one to me is just pretty.

These shapes were on two different strands and I just had to put them together. The biggest challenge was figuring out which direction the triangle should face. I just like how it turned out.

This one stumped me for a bit. I tried several different combinations. Finally I chose to have the large peach-pink in twos. I decided to make my own pendant which adds to the neat look.

Sometimes I can't figure out how to make a larger piece with what I have but find that it is perfect for a bracelet.

This first one used up extra orange beads. I like it because it's bold but cute.

This second one was always a bracelet in my mind. I just had to figure out what beads would go with that rectangle. I pretty much used those beads because I love blue.

And lastly I like wood beads and these have flowers. Plus I had some tiger eye beads to work with.

I have a thing for pink so this one calls to me. It has an elegant feel to it. What I have loved about making beaded jewelry is all the opportunities. So far I have never made the same thing twice. I am always creating something new. And that's pretty amazing.

I adore how this turned out. The drop beads adds to the dynamic of the whole piece. I love green and this one was so thrilling to design. I am attached to all of the designs but this is one of the top.

I like focusing on numbers which is why I have three drops in the center and as it goes up it's just two. I also wanted to mix shapes. There are several in this one.
