Author’s Note: First scene of a play plus notes. (No plan of finishing, but enjoy anyways.) Take into mind that I wrote this four years ago.

Act I
Scene I
On this planet, it is early morning before the sun has risen. There is a stargate, stage right on top of a platform with stairs leading down to a grassy area. Next to the stargate are a few trees with a path leading to a forest behind the stargate. In front of the grassy area is a river. The river would be in the pit and would twist on the stage leading left. The stargate has been activated and four humans dressed in Arabian clothing come out of the gate. Daniel tumbles down the steps wearing a light pale green vest, dark blue silky pants, a green Aladdin hat with blue stripes and a hard top, and green loafers. He has short brown hair and glasses. His face is pained when he comes through. Jack walks through the gate and sees Daniel on the steps and walks down and pulls him up by the hand. Jack wears a light vest, dark brown silky pants, a brown hat similar to Daniel’s brown loafers and a brown sash around his large pants to keep them staying around his waist. Jack has short brown hair that is almost completely gray.
Jack: Grudgingly “Are you alright Danny?”
Daniel: “Never better, just clumsy me.” Annoyingly.
Jack: “Good then maybe you can get us out of this mess. If you hadn’t had to go ‘make nice’ with the natives and convince me to leave our guns! In the other room, then I could be at home right now taking a shower. But no–”
Sam: “Sir…” Addressing O’Neill, Sam walks down the steps wearing short light yellow top that exposes her stomach, red silky pants like the guys, light brown loafers, and a red scarf around her short blond hair.
Jack: “So nice of you to join us. I was just telling Daniel [turns towards Daniel] this is all your fault!”
Daniel: Walking away from Jack and taking a look around, “It’s as much your fault as it is mine Jack. You’re the one who had to sit at the banquet table before we were allowed to. I warned you just to follow my lead, but Colonel O’Neill’s done this millions of times now, and you just sat down. Well guess what Jack, not every culture is the same, so not every group of natives on all these hundreds of planets will act the same. It’s your fault we were jailed, and you fault we’re here on a planet without any equipment, food, or our little password home, here on the hope… the hope that SG-4 is still here, and still alive with a GDO that can get the rest of us home.”
Daniel was getting exhausted by the end of this and Jack was still pissed and was about to comment when Teal’c walks out of the gate and down the steps. He is wearing an orange top with very long sleeves, dark silky red pants, and brown loafers. He has a gold insignia on his forehead.
Teal'c: “Colonel O’Neill have you scouted the area?” Teal’c calmly asks.
Jack: Slowly Jack takes a deep breath, blows it out and stands tall. “Okay kids, Teal’c I want you to search the area, see if you can figure out the last time SG-4 was here and where they went. Carter, try and remember what they were supposed to be here looking for. [Jack looks at Daniel a little evilly ] Daniel and I will go down and test the river for suitable drinking qualities.”
Daniel: “Uh… sure Jack.” He walks wearily next to Jack up to the river. Jack stretches out his left hand inviting Daniel to test it. Daniel crouches down, tentatively sticks his hand in the water, waves it around to see how this supposed water feels and if there are any creatures is it. He turns to Jack, gives a negative shake of the head, and then before he knows it, Jack pushes his head in the water and holds him down for five or so seconds. Jack lets Daniel back up and Daniel is shaking the water out of his hair. “Jack! What was that about?”
Jack: Affectionately and not the least bit guilty about it, Jack smiles and says, “So Dannyboy, what do you think of P7Y260?”
Daniel: “I think it is officially now another planet where Jack O’Neill got the better of me.” Daniels’ smiling at Jack although he’s still a little peeved at Jack’s behavior.
Sam: She had been watching this play out, laughing while remembering why SG-4 had been sent to this planet. She walks over to the two. “Sir, Daniel, why don’t we use your hats, [she playfully takes the one on Jack’s head] for cups if the water is safe”
Jack: “What do you think Daniel? Better than what King… whatever his name gave us in that cell?”
Daniel: Daniel searching in the water for his had that Jack knocked off in his drinking, “Much better, the sand at the bottom makes for a wonderful shampoo.”
Sam: Laughing, Sam uses Jack’s hat to scoop up some water and carefully taste it, hoping it’s not going to poison her. “Well, Daniel seems fine. It tastes fine, must be…”
Jack: “Wrong, but it’s all we’ve got. [Jack carefully takes the cup from Sam’s hand and drinks some of the water down. Loudly shouts] Teal’s come over here! Darn, we should have had him test it first, his symbiote would have warned him if it was bad. Too late now.”
Sam: “Yes sir, but if we get home, I’m sure Janet can fix anything it might do to us.”
Three Jaffa sneak from the other side of the river, due to the tall grasses on their side of the river, SG-1 can’t see them.
Teal'c: “Quiet! [Teal’c whispers.] There’s someone here…”
Staff blast fire towards SG-1. They start running towards the forest occasionally stopping behind a few bushes.
Jack: “For crying out loud, why do there have to be Jaffa on every planet!” He helps Sam run into the trees and off stage left.
Teal’c sensing that Daniel is lagging behind runs back pushes him to run faster and pulls Daniel up whenever he falls down. Finally Teal’c and Daniel get further into the forest and exit stage left.
The three Jaffa wade across the river still firing towards the forest. The sun is coming up as the curtain closes, the Jaffa running into the forest.
End scene I
[Notes: Before they come through Daniel had went away with their capturers to convince them to set them free. He was beaten in his back (to hide it) and afterwards he was able to convince them. So they go through to the other world, Daniel hiding his bruises with the vest. Jack will find out later in the story.
After they get through the stargate, Daniel stumbles down the steps because he’s in pain, but he plays it off as if he’s just clumsy, which he usually is. Jack after rudely pulling Daniel up to his feet, he gets into an argument about how they got in this predicament.
Exposition: They go on a scouting mission because of the writing near the stargate looked Arabic. When they meet the culture that seemed friendly they are convinced to change into the Arabic clothing, Daniel supporting this move for a celebration. They then offend their hosts weapons and supplies taken away to another room they’re put in prison.
The penalty would have been death if Daniel hadn’t explained their different customs. King decided to let them go bereft of what they deemed dangerous.
Present: Jack blames Daniel for getting them into this. Sam’s annoyed with her outfit form the beginning and makes a cutting remark about the clothing Daniel coerced them into wearing. Teal’c just looks upon Jack and Sam with disappointment while warily watching Daniel, sensing something was wrong.
Scene II
Resting in an open area in the forest, taking a moment to breather. Jack asked Daniel what’s wrong, “usually faster at running away from your enemies.”
Teal’c: O’Neill is correct, your speed has diminished.”
Daniel: “I just snagged my pant leg on a branch,” he huffs.
Sam: “Yeah these pant legs are kind of big”
Jack: Looking at Daniel, quickly says, “I’m sure they have some cultural significance.”
Daniel raised his hand to signify that he wasn’t going to say a word. He’d finally caught his breath but was till in pain, but trying to hide it though Teal’c noticed him rubbing his back and was about to ask him about it when more Jaffa start firing.
Jack: “How they’d get across the river so fast?”
Daniel: “It wasn’t that deep.”
Jack: “How the heck do you know?”
Daniel (angry): “You put my head in the water! I could see the bottom.”
Jack decides to split them up, Teal’c and Sam would go father ahead trying to get the Jaffa to follow them b/c their colors are very bright. Jack and Daniel would try to sneak up on them. Jack trying (successfully) to camouflage with the trees, while Daniel goes around behind them Jack waiting until they start to pass him and Daniel’s behind them, will strike one Jaffa of the 3 (they saw) in the head. Jack uses his sash to climb up the trees, he jumps on the second Jaffa. Daniel grabs the other’s weapon and throws the Jaffa down they both fall
Meanwhile Sam and Teal’c hides behind a group of trees clumped together, and proceed to go around and rejoin Daniel and Jack.
Daniel – had meant to do more than grab the weapon, but as he went to take the weapon and punch in the face his Jaffa, his back muscles painfully constricted, and he falls. The Jaffa lands half on top of him lengthwise, luckily the weapon was hald trapped by Daniel’s boy although painful it couldn’t be fired.
Jack had effectively disabled his Jaffa. Daniel slammed the Jaffa’s head into the ground twice. Daniel lays back down heavily on the weapon. The third Jaffa is still firing.
Sam while coming around sees this, Teal’c goes and helps Jack disarm the last Jaffa and contain him, still conscious to be questioned.
Sam goes over to help Daniel get the Jaffa off of him. She finds that Daniel isn’t responsive to his name.
Sam: “Jack! Help me get him off of Daniel.”
Jack coming over, “What happened?”
Sam, “He’s not moving.”
Jack “Shit!” They push the Jaffa off of Daniel. Sam checks his pulse and breathing.
Sam: “He’s alive… Just unconscious.”
Jack is worried about his condition needing to find out what happened, and hoping he doesn’t have a concussion, he slaps Daniel’s cheeks to wake him up. “Come on big guy, we won, you can wake up now.”
Daniel groggily opens his eyes. His eyes wide when he starts to remember what happened.
Jack: “Hey (gently), what happened there.”
Daniel, still lying “He fell on me, hit my windpipe, couldn’t get enough air, must have passed out.”
Jack: “Yeah you did” said somewhat suspiciously. He’s planning on talking to Teal’ to see if he noticed anything amiss. “Why don’t you sit there for a minute, while we have a chat with the nice Jaffa.”
Jack walks over to the Jaffa and Teal’c and him talk to him to determine what happened to the other SG team.
Sam carefully helps Daniel to his feet, who sways a bit, trying to hide it from her, and Jack who’s coming over. Sam frowns, Jack’s browns crinkle.
Jack: “SG4 has been taken prisoner. Let’s go rescue them.”
Act II
Scene I
It starts to get darker, Jack, Sam and Teal’c plan their rescue, and start scouting the area where SG4 is being held. Daniel is resting by a tree trying to not be obvious about the fact he’s keeping his back off the tree.
[Have a hill stage right where Teal’c comes up from and goes looking down at cages of SG members.]
Jack and Teal’ have Jaffa staffs the third with Daniel for support. Daniel looks pale.
Teal’c leaves to scout the area where SG4 is being held, while Sam tries to assess Daniel’s condition. Jack meanwhile is trying to figure out how they can pull off the rescue.
[After rescue Sam will salute Jack with leftover scarf tied around her right wrist. It gets in her face and she blows it away when she says sir. Soldiers laugh.]
Sam kneels down next to Daniel she lays an arm on his shoulder, softly asking if he’s okay. Daniel shrugs too tired and hurt to say more, though he warily watches to make sure Jack hasn’t noticed.
[Jack knows something is very wrong with Daniel but throughout their trek every time he ask him to let him check him over, Daniel gets very upset and angry always comments made that Jack should concentrate on SG4 and stop pestering him. Daniel still feels guilty about their situation, but he’s in too much pain to do anything about it.]
Scene II
Rescue of SG4 in the cages. After rescue SG4 will joke about SG-1’s clothing and it’ll end in laughs.
