So I've decided that I want to do reviews of books I read. So I thought I'd start with the latest book I read.

Code Spell by Kelly McCullough. Found here on amazon

First off I am loving this series, I actually read the second book first, Cybermancy, and then the first book which is Webmage. I highly recommend this series. It starts off with a boy going to college who you find out is not only a hacker and cracker as he likes to call himself, but is also in fact a really minor deity, that he's related to the Greek pantheon of gods and goddesses. And we learn that since the creation of computers and the internet that there is a magical internet and that the gods use codes for spells. Ravirn even has a webgoblin who is part laptop and part goblin. And throughout the series we see Ravirn grow as a deity, become more powerful and have to interact with the major gods and goddesses, such as Zeus, and Hades, plus the Fates whose lineage he came from, and the Furies. Ravirn also has a great sense of humor and always gets into increasing trouble and hurt a great deal. But he has a kind heart and a sense of what's right, making him a likeable character to follow. Sometimes the way he gets out of his situations can be confusing, and it'll take a while to let go and believe the magic, but the storytelling is really strong, and the gods and goddesses are never what they seem at first, they have several faces and are always plotting. I think what's so neat is that the protogonist is so young, and trying to play a game that these other characters have been playing for all of creation, that he isn't always quick to figure things out. But he's not stupid either, once enough clues are put in front of him, he gets it, and he's able to even outsmart or outdo the other characters, though a lot of the time it's reckless. So I can't wait to see what happens in book four.

No, hadn't heard of that, but again this is the first time I've actually done a review, I've been wanting to, just never had. Thanks for the heads up.
