On writing and plans

So one thing went right about my plans for this year. I got a new job, and although it’s only temporary I’ve enjoyed it a great deal. It’s for a nonprofit and I spend the time helping others and being in charge of different groups. I’ve really had the opportunity to get paid for being creative and friendly. How awesome is that?

I have yet to edit that narrative poem I wrote last year. But I hope to someday. I have though kept working on my poetry collection, and it’s actually gone in a bit of a different direction lately. It’s been a chance to deal with a lot of hurtful memories in my life. The poems and journaling has made me heal a great deal.

I’m not as much into fandom anymore, although I’ll read the occasional thing. I haven’t written anything new fanficwise in a while, and I don’t know when I will again. I’m really looking forward to writing more original work. I hope when the poems are done and work-shopped I’ll be able to get them published. But for now I’m just happy to write them.

They decided to keep me at the job. It's part time with potential of being full time in the future. I'm quite excited.
