Summary: Radek gets a gift basket and has to figure out who it's from.

The scientists were working diligently in the labs, analyzing newly salvaged Ancient objects. They had yet to discover the function of any of these creations. Radek Zelenka, "It might as well be painted macaroni art for all the good it's going to do us." He tosses the flat disc down onto the bench, standing up to pace.

"Quit your whining. Some Airman just delivered this for you. And before you ask, no he didn't say who it was from." Dr. Rodney McKay carelessly handed Radek a basket wrapped in red cloth.

"What is this?" The first thing he noticed was the pink hearts sewn into the cloth. Sitting back down, he unwraps it.

"Is this from your 'secret admirer'?" Kavanaugh said disdainfully. He actually made the air quotes with his fingers. Many of the other scientists snickered.

Inside the basket lay an iPod with a purple cover, as well as speaker connections. Turning the iPod on and browsing through the list of songs, Radek noticed they all had the same theme. Love, or in some cases, love-making. Getting quite flustered, he looked through the other goodies. There were heart-shaped chocolate candies, a recent common event on Atlantis. One of the teams had found a planet with a cocoa-like bean that the Athosians have been mixing into molds for the holidays. It being Valentine's Day, the card inside the basket was appropriate. But what the typed words said made Radek's heart pound.

{I know we don't get along all the time, but I'm quite fond of you. When I'm near, I tense up and say the wrong things. I believe I'm falling in love with you, but being close friends is enough. Enjoy the holidays.

For now,
*Your Secret Admirer*}

Stunned he let the card slip from his fingers. Rodney picked it up and read it silently. Then he handed it back to Zelenka before the others could glimpse it.

Whispering Rodney said, "He signed it so you can figure out who it is."

"He?" Radek's eyes began to sparkle. For a moment he had been worried of needing to let some lady down. A man though, had potential.

"Wait a parsec-"

"That'll be awhile."

"You know who wrote it! Are you going to tell me?" Radek looked imploringly at Rodney.

"No. You need to figure it out yourself. Besides, I wager you'll be quite surprised and thrilled to find out who it is." With that McKay returned to his work, ushering the rest back to their projects as well.

Radek stared in thought at the card. Who's handwriting would Rodney recognize? That could be anybody, he is in charge of all the scientists. Except he said an Airman delivered it. So it's military. Blinking, he finally noticed the rough drawing of a dog with a stick in its mouth on the cover of the card. Breaking out into a grin, Radek lunged for the basket and rushed out of the lab.

Lying down on a bench in the gym, Lieutenant Aiden Ford lifts weights. Wearing shorts and a black tank top, his muscles hold a visible sheen of sweat. While lifting the weights, he considers that McKay could probably use some help in the lab. He could hold something steady for him. Only a slight smile reveals that he wants to visit in hopes of seeing an entirely different person. Finishing, he places the weights back, feeling the strain that is punishment for not using a spotter.

Sitting up, a hurtling force knocks him back. It takes him a moment to discover the scientist in his lap. Before the name 'Radek' could form on his lips, a mouth firmly plants itself on his own. A rush of warm pleasure fills him. All he can do is moan and open up, wanting for more. The tongue battles his own, licking the roof of his mouth and sending shivers down his back. When the need for air becomes paramount, Aiden deepens the kiss, positive that suffocation by kissing is the sweetest way to go.

Radek finally breaks them apart before they black out. They hang in each other's arms, gasping precious air into their aching lungs. "Aiden... (breathe) I had to... (shudder) come as soon as I read your card."

Aiden with his mind covered in fog, "What card?" Still fighting to breathe, he pulls Radek closer, enjoying the feel of his body pressed to his own.

"The Valentine. You didn't send me a card?" Radek picks up the basket and hands it to Aiden.

Glancing at the card, Aiden only snorts. "Frickin match-maker. The writing is Rodney's."

A horrific look takes over Radek's face. "You don't mean he...?"

"What? NO. Gosh no. This is his attempt at forging my signature. He set us up together."

Looking downcast, Radek only says "oh".

"Hey. Stop that. I'm the one who wouldn't let you go when we were running out of breath."

"True. Um, read what it says. I'd like to know if... Rodney was correct."

Aiden reads the typed lines. "I'm sorry. He got it wrong." Radek's bottom lip quivers for a second. "I don't believe I'm falling in love with you." Turning his head, Radek sighs. "I know with all my being that I am in love with you." Aiden blushes, trying hard to look Radek in the face.

Radek's mouth quirks up, he just has to ask. "You beat up guys like me in highschool?"

"I made out with guys like you in highschool." Grinning, Aiden flashes his dazzling white teeth.

Mesmerized, Radek stutters out, "Well... you know we, we're not in highschool. Anymore."

"And?" Aiden's eyes glint.

"We can do other stuff now." Radek's eyes hold a deep dark lust.

"Really. I'll have to consider that."

Radek smiles brilliantly, reaching for the iPod and tossing the basket away. "Rodney made us our very own Love Album. Would you like to listen to it with me?"

Gazing sincerely into his eyes, Aiden speaks. "Absolutely Radek. I love you."

Struggling not to cry, "Happy Valentine's Day Aiden. I love you too." Radek kisses him gently and passionately, a contrast to the heat of their first kiss.

Hand in hand they leave the gym and head towards Aiden's quarters, the closer of the two. On the way Radek explains the experiments that he's working on, and Aiden tells him the exciting tales of his team's adventures. Rodney, sighting their passing, retrieves the basket while smiling to himself. Another heavenly match made by Rodney. May it last an eternity.
